Should soften the blow. I have no idea why any President, in the the throws of being (or may have already been) completely marginalized would run the risk of this embarrassment.I think the message they sent, especially with coming last, is that you can't just show up 2-3 days before a vote and expect to be taken as sincere. Might work with your voting base in the US.....
